Why Buy Anti Spyware Software When I Can Download it Free?

Many Spyware software packages are being sold on the Internet. Many other packages are listed for free. Why should you pay for something that might be free?

First of all, there are many fakeware products out there on freeware sites. Fakeware is a term used to describe something that claims to do something but really does not. Spyware publishers know that many people are out there trying to avoid downloading their malicious programs so they masquerade as Anti-spyware in freeware sites. Their tools may claim to eliminate spyware from your computer when in reality they create new malicious threats on your hard drive and don't eliminate the problems that you already have. Your already bogged down computer could be further slowed with even more malicious threats than the ones you have today.

If you are dealing with reset homepages, slowed down computers and excessive pop-up windows plaguing your computer with advertisements and errors, you've probably got at least one spyware program on your computer. If you install a package that contains further problems, you could be jeopardizing your private information even further. Some Spyware packages exist to do more than advertise to you, some will scan your computer for every keystroke you type in the hopes of stealing personal information that could be used to financially steal from you in the form of personal identity theft.

Choose a Spyware program to not only eliminate the existing spyware from your computer but also one that fights off new threats in real time before they get a chance to infiltrate your computer's security system and steal your private information. Choose a program that will update your computer on an on-going basis and work un-obtrusively to protect your privacy and keep your computer at peak performance.

Be wary of any package that's simply listed for free. Software costs money to develop and usually something that looks too good to be true probably has a catch somewhere. Certain programs offer to clean out your computer of Spyware, Adware or Malware and offers free definition updates for twelve months from the date of purchase. This will protect your computer on an on-going basis from future threats. New spyware programs are written every day. A freeware program may only help you today but can't possibly combat new problems. Hackers come out with new ways to invade your computer every day. You need a software package that updates your computer continually to fend off new threats. Choose wisely, your privacy is at stake.
