Sweating: Overweight People Have High Body Temperature

Posted By: | Posted On: | Article ID:

Overweight: fat people tend to have a higher body temperature than thin people. This increase in the system temperature has the natural consequence of excreting a bigger volume of sweat under the same circumstances. There are many people in this world that have a common problem, they all sweat more than they should. It is a condition known as Hyperhidrosis and the causes of excessive sweating are as varied as the people that have the problem.

Many people that suffer from Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, experience these problems in the areas of the body where the sweat glands are concentrated, such as in the palms of the hands, on the head or under the arms, although the disease can really affect a person on any part of their body, or even be a full body treatment. For those that suffer from the problem it can become quite a social disease, causing them embarrassment and keeping them from enjoying activities that would lead to an embarrassing problem.

Excessive sweating can be broken down into two major types, primary Hyperhidrosis and secondary Hyperhidrosis. The primary type of Hyperhidrosis is a problem with the sympathetic nervous system. Although the cause of the problem is not known it does cause the sweat glands to produce an unnatural amount of sweat. The other type of excessive sweating is known as secondary Hyperhidrosis. This problem is actually a symptom of another underlying cause. It could be anything from an overactive thyroid to a problem with obesity. In these cases finding a treatment for the underlying problem should help with the sweating.

Most treatment alternatives will basically fall into one of these categories: surgery, medications and detox.

Surgery

The surgical option is the preferred by many patients. It is a short and non intrusive surgery with the sole purpose of removing the sympathetic nerve, which is the one causing most of the metabolism hyperactivity which results in excessive sweating.

Patients can return to their homes on the same day as the operation.

Medication

There are some medication alternatives to treat excessive sweating. The two most common are Botox and Beta Blockers. Both of them have the similar effect of reducing the speed of the metabolism and thus helping reduce the volume of sweat excreted by the transpiratory glands.

Detox

This one is my favorite, and it will reduce your excessive sweating from 50% to 80% at least. It is about getting rid of the toxins in your system so your body doesn't have an excuse to keep sweating. The best way to achieve this is by stop taking in any kind of toxins (tobacco, alcohol, caffeine) and fatty foods, drink lots of water and exercise daily.

Whatever the excessive sweating cause, there is something you can do about it. It is time to start planning how you are going to get rid of this annoying problem.
