Don’t be fooled by the simple looking Sony Ericsson G700. Despite its clean and simple looks, the Sony Ericsson G700 has quite a lot in store for you under its hood.

In one look you would think that the Sony Ericsson G700 is yet another standard Sony Ericsson phone without any smartphone features. But it’s actually a smart mobile phone with standard T9 keypad. The Sony Ericsson measures 106 x 49 x 13 mm and weights at an amazing 99g which is quite slim, stylish and solid build. It feels good to your hands.

The G700 sports a 2.4-inch, QVGA TFT touch screen which may display 256 colours. The display is quite bright and nice with respectable colours. One advantage of having a Sony Ericsson G700 is its relatively larger RAM. So, even if there are a few applications running, your applications still without a problem. Java applications also run fast.

If you choose the media menu you will find a lot of the fun stuff. Sony Ericsson G700 supports many commonmusic file formats so music lovers are in for a treat. They can load all their favorite tracks. There’s even the TrackID feature in it too. Player interface is very much similar with the iPhone or iPod. You have player control buttons on the screen too. It’s also possible to edit the equalizer. Like most mobile phones, you can also listen to FM radio.

Sony Ericsson G700 sports a 3 MP camera with LED flash. You can take pictures and video clips as well. While its video and photo viewer is not outstanding, it does its job decently.

As for calling purposes, the Sony Ericsson G700 really does well. Voices are always clear from both ends. The reception is quite good. Saving contact information is very easy as well.

The Sony Ericsson G700 is actually a mid-level mobile phone. But its features can be likened that to high end models. It is definitely one of the must haves today.
