On the other hand, if the dealers get an up card as an Ace or a ten, then the player is allowed to decide whether or not he wishes to insure that particular hand against blackjack. The insurance will reduce the amount of odds from 2 to 1. In case of up card in the form of Ace, the player holding a blackjack card is asked to choose the ‘even money’. Moreover, a blackjack holder has the authority to decline or accept the offer. In case the player goes for even money, the bet will shift to even money no matter the dealer holds a blackjack card or not.
If a dealer has an ace or a 10 card as the up card, he/she allows the players decide if they want to insure that hand against the blackjack. This insurance will decrease the odds to 2 to 1. In case of an ace as the up card, the dealer tells the play online blackjack to choose 'even money'. The player with blackjack can accept or decline the offer. If the player agrees for even money, then the bet will lead to even money regardless of whether the dealer has a blackjack or not. After the player decides, the dealer reveals the hole card. If it is not a blackjack, players play their hands. The game ends if the dealer has a blackjack.
