No Charge Computer Equipment Disposal Offered By All Green Electronics Recycling

All Green Electronics Recycling announces that they are offering free pick up and free disposal of computer hardware to companies nationwide.

"A majority of businesses are recycling their old computer equipment responsibly. But there are millions of computer systems owned by businesses that will not be disposed of responsibly. This is a very real concern for us and the protection of our environment," states Arman Sadeghi, President of All Green.

All Green Electronics Recycling based in California is a nationwide electronics recycler and provides secure disposal of computers, monitors, TVs, cell phones and many other electronics except for household appliances.

"It's not that these enterprises are irresponsible, they just don't know what to do when it comes to recycling of computer hardware. computer equipment disposal is our business and we know how to handle the situation and make sure old hardware do not end up in landfills or in the hands of child laborers in developing nations."

"To avoid this we are offering no charge pick up and free disposal of old computer equipment to any business nationwide."

The Environmental Protection Agency suggests that used computer hardware as one of the rapidly-growing waste concern in the United States. Computer and monitor components such as circuit boards, batteries, and color cathode ray tubes contain hazardous materials including lead, mercury and chromium. If computers are simply dumped, these toxins can be released into the environment - into the ground and water through landfills, or in the form of toxic incinerated ash.

There is another problem and that is the data stored on the hard drive. Or more importantly what we assume has been deleted from the hard drive.

Craig Crossman, columnist and host of the nationally syndicated computer radio show, Computer America alerts "Data deleted on a hard drive is really not deleted. The OS (Windows, OX S, Linux, etc.) just marks the space to be available for new data and eventually the “deleted” data will get overwritten. However if you want to make sure you data is truly deleted, you need a utility designed to erase data by overwriting it with random patterns of ones and zeros. There are many such utilities available, some free, some are included within of a suite of utilities. In any case, be sure you use one of these deletion utilities in order to insure you data has been completely overwritten and thus deleted."

Sadeghi continues, "Can corporations depend on employees to completely remove sensistive information recommended by Craig Crossman? Probably not. This means that companies will have to check every system before it leaves the premises. Depending on the number of computer systems being sent for disposal this process could take weeks."

"We can save businesses time and money as we provide a secure service for the disposal of computer hardware such as ones that included sensitive information. Companies can send a representative to observe the computer equipment disposal if they wish."

“Companies are always upgrading their computer systems. We urge companies to consider the computer equipment disposal at the same time they are making the purchase of new systems," concludes Sadeghi.
