Going to Florida? Better to Rent a Villa!

Posted By: | Posted On: | Article ID:

Villa rentals in Florida are getting more and more popular as family accommodation for people visiting the world's number one vacation destination. This is not surprising since villa rentals are like a home away from home. Villas in Florida (not to confuse with condos) are ordinary family homes with 3, 4 or more bedrooms. Usually, it includes a kitchen, a pool, a family room and separate dining area, a garage, laundry and more facilities.

What so great about renting a villa?

There are many advantages on renting a villa in Florida, even though most of the Florida villa rentals are at the same price or for less than a room in Disney Resort. And the villa rentals are often so close to the Disney park that you can still view the nightly fireworks from the comfort of the pool deck. However, a villa rental certainly does have more space than the average room in a hotel or resort. This space allows the family members to spread out and have a little personal space. Besides that, a Florida villa will have its own swimming pool to enjoy in private.

Another advantage of renting a villa in Florida is the fully equipped kitchen available. By having the means at hand, it is easy to prepare special meals for babies and small children, which is usually a hassle when dining out. And drinks and lunch packages can be prepared and chilled for taking to the parks. Meals and drinks in the parks are very expensive and you could save several hundreds of dollars per week by preparing it in your villa rental.

Also, an advantage of villa rentals is the free internet access that is included in most rentals. You can keep in touch with the office if necessary (not recommended during your well-deserved holiday though). And you do not pay the extra costs that hotels charge.

How to choose the right villa out of so many offers?

When you start looking for Florida villa rentals, there are a few things to bear in mind.
First, who do you rent it from? Many villa rentals are offered by management agencies to large holiday companies all over the world. The rates paid to the owners of the villas are very low, while the clients are charged very high rates. This means that the villas are occupied almost whole year around, but that the owners do not generate enough income from it to maintain them properly. It would be better to rent from someone that deals with the villa owners directly.

Secondly, check when the photos were last updated. Often they are never updated at all since the villa was brand new. If you can see recent photos, it will help you to see what you get and prevent disappointments upon arrival. Note here that a brand new villa is not always the best choice. More established neighborhoods are friendlier and mature.
Thirdly do not pick your rental by the number of bedrooms. Bigger villas are not necessarily more expensive. Some villa owners will allow smaller families to stay at a reduced price reflecting the number of rooms used. This means that you can enjoy more luxury in your villa for less.

And last, do not forget to ask if you can get reduced price tickets for the attractions from the rental owner. Often, the Florida vacation rental villa owners can offer cheaper tickets and even arrange delivery of the tickets to your villa.

On total, there are many advantages of staying at a Florida villa rental. The villas are excellent value for money, provide lot of space for guests to have some privacy and be at ease and offer a full array of facilities. Once you have spent a vacation in a Florida villa rental, you will never want to go on a hotel vacation again.
