A Quick Guide of Tahiti Vacation Tidbits

Posted By: | Posted On: | Article ID:

A Tahiti vacation is a vacation in Paradise. Tahiti is the largest of the 118 islands that make up French Polynesia. Tahiti is known to the world traditionally as the Island of Love, and anyone who has taken a Tahiti vacation does not argue with that. Loaded with perfect beaches, serene bungalows, waterfalls set in tropical forests, and plenty of tours to get you there, Tahiti is a popular choice for vacations, honeymoons, and romantic getaways.

The most popular destination for a Tahiti vacation is Bora Bora. Famous for the picturesque beaches and dreamy lagoons, Bora Bora is the site for the film Return to the Blue Lagoon. Much of Tahiti remains untouched, and perfectly native. To see much of the inlands on a Tahiti vacation, you nust take a 4WD tour, because the area is so native that is the only way you can see it all. Tahiti is cooled perfectly by the breezes off of the Pacific Ocean, and the climate is overall very tolerable and comfortable. It is said that there really are only two seasons in Tahiti, the hot and humid season and the warm and dry season, both of which are perfect for a Tahiti vacation. The average temperature is about 79 degrees (F) all year long, so only the humidity really changes with the seasons.

Other than tourism, Tahiti relies on its great fishing, rich soil for successful agriculture, and black pearl farming for its revenue. Visitors who take a Tahiti vacation can enjoy horseback riding along the West Coast, days sunbathing on the beach, excellent cuisine, and friendly hospitality. Sport enthusiasts can enjoy fishing, swimming, snorkeling, diving, and other activities. Nightlife and entertainment for everyone can always be found. A favorite pastime while on a Tahiti vacation is stopping at one of the traditional French eateries that can be found along the little roads, complete with dramatic landscapes and mountainous backdrops. Some of the greatest wildlife in Tahiti includes giant hibiscus and birds of paradise, as well as coral lagoons and pink sand beaches.

If you are considering going on a Tahiti vacation, probably the best clothing to pack is cool clothing made of natural materials, like cotton. Make sure the clothing that you do bring is light in color, as even though the temperature is moderate, the sun can get very warm, especially on tours, and dark colored clothing will enhance the suns heat. While the sun gets warm during the day, the nights can turn a bit chilly, so be sure to always bring with you a light jacket or thin sweater for your nights out on the beach or out on the town. Bring shoes and clothing that is suitable for hiking, if it is an activity that you are interested in, and of course, do not forget your swimsuit, snorkel, and sunscreen.
